Saturday night Washington Sculptors Group had a workshop at DC Glassworks in Hyattsville, MD, just a few minutes from our studio.
We learned how to carve pink insulation foam into forms and then cast them in aluminum. I made a bird as a test for my public art piece for Marvin Gay Park in Anacostia. The process was fun and remarkable easy ( well, the great guys at DC Glassworks made it look easy!).
